Sue Barr . . .
‘The prairie dust is in my blood but no longer on my shoes.’
It’s been many years since Sue called Saskatchewan home, yet her roots to that straight-lined Canadian province run deep. Only one thing was strong enough to entice her to pack up and leave: love. When her very own Mr. Darcy, in the shape of a determined, handsome Air Force pilot, met this feisty small-town prairie girl and swept her off her feet, they embarked on a fantastic adventure, the fruits of which are two sons, their wives and seven grandchildren. When hubby retired from the military to start a second career in the airline industry, they settled in beautiful Southwestern Ontario.
Sue began writing in 2009 and sold her first manuscript in 2010. Always a reader of Regency romance, starting with the Grand Dame of romance herself, Barbara Cartland, Sue discovered Jane Austen Fan Fiction in 2016 and almost immediately plot lines began dancing in her brain and Caroline: Pride & Prejudice continued… Book One was launched.
Sue loves to can and preserve her own food. She cooks and bakes almost everything from scratch and grows herbs to dehydrate. Her latest venture is to create spice seasonings, experiment with artisan breads and make homemade vanilla. Thank goodness she has an enormous pantry!
