I had the pleasure recently of finishing my 28th book. In previous posts, I’ve shared an excerpt and the cover, so, many of you have been anticipating its release.
Darcy’s Unwanted Bride is one of my longer novels, coming in at just over 63,000 words. It’s over 300 pages. 🙂
As I have said before, this book is darker than most of my books. It deals with child abuse and was, at times, difficult to write. I thought more than once that I’d never get it finished!
I’m not formed for writing such dark things. LOL I much prefer my usual sweet escapes, but this story insisted on being told, so tell it I did.
Below, I’ll give you the details about the giveaway, but first, here’s the blurb for the book.
~~~***~~~
Two strangers forced to wed. Is happiness in marriage possible?
Twenty-year-old Fitzwilliam Darcy is betrothed to a stranger by his mentally and physically abusive father. He’s spent his life staying out of the way. Now, he would like to flee, but the consequences of refusing his father would crush his soul.
Elizabeth Bennet discovers on her seventeenth birthday that within twenty-four hours, she will be marrying a man she has never met. Within minutes of the ceremony, she discovers just how loathsome the man who is now in charge of her is.
Can these two unwilling partners find love, or are they doomed to a miserable existence?
Darcy’s Unwanted Bride is Zoe Burton’s latest foray into the world of Pride and Prejudice variations. If you like deplorable villains, courageous heroes, and sweet romantic scenes, you’ll love Darcy’s Unwanted Bride. Pick up your copy today and lose yourself in the world of JAFF.
I like the way you said that the story had to be told. Some darkness needs the healing light to shine on it. You may help someone through their own dark times. Now that it is told, you should feel the lifting of the burden of the story from your shoulders. Congratulations on completing it. I hope it does well. I look forward to reading it. Thanks for the generous giveaway. Good luck to all in the drawing. Blessings, stay safe, and healthy.
I’ve been following this on D&L and really enjoying it. I must say that I’m not particularly fond of Darcy senior! I really feel for Fitzwilliam and Elizabeth and can’t wait to read more.
I’ve added this to my list as it’s definitely one I will read again!
That’s awesome! Thanks, Glynis! Best wishes in the drawing. 🙂
What is the connection between Mr. Bennet and Mr. Darcy that Elizabeth and Darcy are forced to marry? This premise sounds so different. Kudos to you for going outside of your comfort zone. Thank you for the giveaway.
